BonaCaeli AirVSAFE 2000 – the fastest way to de-activate indoor viruses
The BonaCaeli AirVSAFE 2000 air purifier uses scientifically proven technology to eliminate the risk of airborne viruses including SARS-Cov-2 (Covid-19).
Unlike most air purifiers, which rely on filters to remove aerosols from the air, the AirVSAFE 2000 uses a unique Triple Air Treatment (TATTM) to actively destroy and deactivate viruses. It passes the air through both a medical grade bio-wash and a powerful UV-C light to destroy viruses and bacteria. It then passes the air through a G4 filter to remove any dust and pollen before returning the clean, safe air back into the room.
The AirVSAFE operates on the principle of virus elimination rather than capture of virus-carrying particulates, allowing for use of coarser filtration which does not impede on air flow and energy consumption as much as those used in capture-based systems. When run continuously in a room, the AirVSAFE 2000 will cycle the air and has been shown to reduce viral load by up to 99.99% in under an hour.
Why choose the AirVSAFE 2000?
- Effective: when run continuously in a room, the AirVSAFE 2000 will cycle the air and has been shown to reduce viral load by up to 99.99% in under an hour.
- Fast: cycles the air at a rate of 510m3/hr – enough to clean the air in an HSE approved space for four people over 11 times an hour.
- Efficient: the AirVSAFE operates on the principle of virus elimination rather than capture of virus-carrying particulates, allowing for use of coarser filtration which does not impede on air flow and energy consumption as much as those used in capture-based systems.
- Scientifically proven: BonaCaeli’s unique BubbleMaze technology, which destroys viruses by passing air through a medical-grade bio-wash, was approved by government scientists and funded by Innovate UK.
- Gives peace of mind: the AirVSAFE 2000 comes with a certificate explaining what it does, reassuring staff, clients, guests and customers that you have done all you can to minimise the risk of airborne viruses at your premises.

How does the AirVSafe work?
Air is drawn through a Triple Air Treatment (TAT), consisting of (1) a G4 filter to filter dust and particulates, (2) a bio-wash scrubber to inactivate viruses, other pathogens and allergens, and (3) an Ultra Violet type C light to further kill viruses.
Will the AirVSAFE prevent me from catching COVID 19?
No. The AirVSAFE is just one line of defence in the armoury you should employ. For UK government advice on precautions against spreading COVID-19 please see: How to stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19)
Is assembly required?
Some basic assembly, requiring only a screwdriver, is needed . It is also necessary to fill the tank with water and add the bio-wash compound. See the supplied manual for details.
What maintenance is required?
The bio-wash fluid should be replaced every 3 months , depending upon usage. Enough bio-wash compound is supplied for a year’s continuous use. The filter should be changed every 12 months, depending upon usage. More bio-wash compound and filters are available to purchase.
Where should I put an AirVSAFE unit?
The unit is best placed in rooms and corridors with poor ventilation. Please see our AirRISK service for bespoke advice on your specific rooms in your building or demise.
Can I move the AirVSAFE unit?
Yes, the AirVSAFE unit can be moved as the design features castor wheels, but it should not be moved whilst in operation. Please refer to the operation and maintenance manual before doing this.
Can I run the AirVSAFE overnight, and do I have to run it every day?
The AirVSAFE unit is designed to be run continuously, with the user being able to select the fan speed and control noise levels based upon their requirements.
